About Me

Patrick Kennedy is a partner and practicing from the firm’s Hidalgo County office in Weslaco, Texas. A longtime resident of the Rio Grande Valley, Patrick brings more than a decade of courtroom experience, a distinguished academic background, and a strong commitment to serving clients throughout South Texas.

Patrick graduated cum laude from Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law in May 2014, where he distinguished himself in trial advocacy. He was inducted into the prestigious National Order of Barristers, a national honor society recognizing excellence in courtroom advocacy. He also received the Professor Fred C. Moss Best Advocate Award, presented to the graduating law student demonstrating outstanding achievement in trial advocacy.

Since 2014, Patrick has maintained an active litigation practice, representing clients in state district and county courts throughout South Texas. His extensive legal experience has involved complex legal issues, factual investigations, pretrial negotiations, motion practice, and courtroom advocacy. This background has provided him with valuable experience in case evaluation, litigation strategy, and protecting his clients’ interests in contested legal proceedings.

Patrick brings his courtroom experience, analytical skills, and knowledge of the local legal community to the firm’s litigation practice. His approach emphasizes thorough preparation, effective advocacy, practical solutions, and attentive client communication. He recognizes that successful representation requires not only a strong understanding of the law but also a clear appreciation of each client’s objectives and the unique considerations of litigating cases in South Texas.

Patrick’s commitment to the Rio Grande Valley extends well beyond the practice of law. He previously served as an elected trustee of the Weslaco Independent School District from 2016 to 2020, helping establish educational policies and oversee district administration. Before that, he served as an elected City Commissioner for the City of Weslaco, District 6, from 2008 to 2010, participating in municipal governance, budget oversight, and public policy decisions.

Patrick also served as an educator with the Weslaco Independent School District, teaching seventh- and eighth-grade advanced history. His background in education and public service reflects his longstanding dedication to the community and his ability to communicate complex issues clearly and persuasively.

In addition to his litigation practice, Patrick has served as a continuing legal education presenter for the Hidalgo County Bar Association, providing instruction to fellow attorneys on effective pretrial negotiations, investigations, and motion practice.

Patrick’s combination of courtroom experience, leadership, and deep roots in Hidalgo County strengthens Gault & Quintana, LLP’s commitment to providing knowledgeable, responsive, and effective legal representation throughout the Rio Grande Valley.
